The secret of resiliency is to do something deviant everyday!

Resiliency is the ability to bounce back from the ups and downs of everyday life. Everyone has resiliency energy but it must be  refreshed or it will disappear. Routine and boredom can quickly drain your energy away. With out resiliency you may fall into the pattern of "burnout" as motivation and drive disappear. To maintain your resiliency be deviant. What can you do?

  • Take a different route to work.
  • Sing when you answer the phone.
  • Drive faster or drive slower.
  • Smile at everyone you meet.
  • Mismatch your socks.
  • Eat a new food.
  • Try a new hairstyle.
  • Grow a beard.
  • Don’t wear a tie.
  • Do wear a tie.
  • Stand with your back to the elevator door.
  • Go to a movie in the middle of the day.
  • Send someone flowers
  • Leave work early.
  • Don’t take work home.

Deviancy can enliven your life. Breakout out of the regularity routine. Dare to be different and raise your resiliency level.
