Aspects of Divinity As you move closer toward integration and wholeness where are you headed? In its spiritual direction component the Enneagram says we are striving to become a living manifestation of a specific feature of Divinity. Each personality type is designed to reflect an aspect of Divinity. When lived out at its highest level each person becomes a vehicle in this world to show us what God is like. The Enneagram of Possibility can be seen in the example of Mother Theresa who is often identified as a Two -the Helper. What we can see in Mother Theresa is some idea of what the Love of God must be like. Martin Luther King as a high functioning Eight shows what power is like. This is true for all of the other types. If we function at our highest levels we reveal God to one another. In this manner we might eventually come to recognize the reflections of divinity that we all are and be able to live more in peace and harmony with one another. Possibility One is a manifestation of the aspect of the Perfection of God Two is a manifestation of the aspect of the Love of God Three is a manifestation of the Creating aspect of God Four is a manifestation of the Uniqueness of God Five is a manifestation of the Knowing
aspect of God Seven is a manifestation of the Joyful aspect of God Eight is a manifestation of the Powerful aspect of God Nine is a manifestation of the aspect of the Harmony of God |
